Newtown Residents Association
The Newtown Resident's Association meets on the third Monday of each month at the Newtown Community and Cultural Centre at the corner of Rintoul and Columbo Streets in Newtown, Wellington at 7.30pm.
Newtown Christmas Carols 2005
The yearly Christmas carol event will be held on Sunday 11 December 2005 at Newtown Park at 7pm. Led by a choir from the Pacific Island churches, this is an event not to be missed
Newtown Festival 2006
The 10th Newtown Festival is planned and will happen in Newtown from 3 March to 12 March 2006. You will find on this site photographs of the earlier Festivals held in March 2004 and 2005. As the programme for the 10th Festival develops, information will be added to that website.
Newtown Community and Cultural Centre
The Newtown Community and Cultural Centre located on the corner of Rintoul and Colombo streets in Newtown hosts many community events. With a theatre, meeting rooms, hall and links to other organisations, there is chance that there is something happening that will be of interest.
Smart Newtown
The Smart Newtown Project started as pilot project five years ago with the aim of providing the community with ready access to free computing. Located next to the Newtown Public Library at 9 Constable St, the centre provides free access to the internet as well as providing course in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programmes.
